Transport
From the Airport to Bilbao City Center (and vice versa)
Bilbao Airport (BIO), also known as “La Paloma,” is located about 12 km from the city center. The journey typically takes between 15 and 25 minutes, depending on traffic and your chosen mode of transport.
Public Bus
(Bizkaibus – Route A3247) The most economical and efficient option. These are green buses.
Route: Airport ↔ Alameda Recalde 14 ↔ Plaza Moyúa (City Center) ↔ Gran Vía 46 ↔ Intermodal (Main Bus & Train Station).
Frequency: Every 15 – 20 minutes.
Schedule:
- From Airport: 06:15 to 00:00.
- From Bilbao (Intermodal): 05:15 to 22:00.
Price: €4.50 for a single ticket (payable by credit/debit card at the Bizkaibus booth in the airport or directly to the driver).
Taxi
The taxi rank is located right outside the Arrivals terminal (Floor 1).
Estimated Price: Between €25 and €35 to the city center. Rates vary depending on the time of day, weekends, or holidays.
Travel Time: Approximately 15 minutes.
Payment: Most taxis accept credit cards, but it is advisable to check with the driver before starting the journey.
Private Transport (VTC)
Uber / Cabify: Both operate in the city. Prices are dynamic and can be checked via their respective apps. The pickup point is usually signposted in the parking area or designated zones.

How to get to the Euskalduna Conference Centre
These are the best options to reach the congress venue:
On Foot:
Bilbao is a very accessible city. If you are staying in the city center, you can reach the Euskalduna Conference Centre by taking a pleasant walk along Abandoibarra Avenue (by the river) or through Gran Vía.
Tram

Metro
